The
name Silbatone ("Sil" meaning silver and "ba"
meaning battery) denotes our statement tube
amplifier range. The preamplifers, although
unablanced at present, use silver components
internally and are fully battery powered, Many
companies have attempted to obtain pure DC through
more traditional methods. However, they are unable
to match the clean power source of a DC battery
supply. The Silbatone amplifiers are able to
deliver a supreme sound quality that has until now
been beyond conventional tube or solid-state
devices. In the near future, we will be introducing
a fully balanced preamplifier, which will use
silver input and output transformers.
C-103
Preamplifier - $18,000

The
Silbatone C-103 preamplifier employs a floating
chassis system, which can negate the effects of
both airborne and mechanical vibrations. the C-103
incorporates a revolutionary new "sound frequency
impedance direct matching" circuit design, that is
able to retrieve the clarity and dynamic range of
the original music previously unheard of through
more conventional designs. All components int he
C-103 are hard-wired, and no PCB's are used, which
already drastically improves the sound quality.

Battery-driven Power Supply
Ordinary
dry-cell type batteries are used for the power
supply. Although complete recharging requires 10
hours, the requirements for low impedance
outweighed the size and weight penalties imposed by
this type of battery, and allows for a longer life
for the batteries. Once fully charged, the
amplifier is able to run for approximately 50 hours
without recharging. Battery systems that recharge
continuously while in use (such as those used in
laptop computers) were not considered, as they are
inherently noisy. The pure DC battery power supply
in the C-103 is unconditionally stable and free
from noise. In other words, the C-103 does not
comprise the signal by adding its own signature to
the music.
if
one listens even for 10 hours a day, recharging
overnight takes only 2 hours. In this way, the
battery supply in the the C-103 will not
inconvenience the user.
