The "Un-Horn"
All Royal Device models are 2-way designs with full range woofers and very high frequency high-pass filters from 6KHz to 9KHz, which prevents horn midrange nasality and compression in the midrange audio band. The crossoverless woofer with frontal phase plug preserves phase coherence in the audio band up to 7-8KHz, extending woofer bandwidth up to 10KHz -6dB, with mechanical rolloff elminating woofer cone high-frequency breakup.
Royal Device loudspeakers are recommended for use with tube or solid state amplifiers with zero negative feedback.
