Laura

Laura is a 2-way back horn loaded loudspeaker system fully designed, hand crafted, and manufactured in Italy by Aliante s.r.l. with optimum design and finishing with very compact size in respect to the low end frequency response and efficiency.   It features a custom-designed phase reversal triple folded back horn loading, which enables a simple in-room placement.  The 8.5" woofer has been especially custom made by Aliante s.r.l for the Laura and Diana Royal Device models.  The woofer has a mean sensitivity of 97.5dB, together with high velocity, dynamic response and an extremely extended low frequency response due to the woofer back horn loaded system.  The new Royal Device horn is a perfect complement to the woofer, a completely custom design Royal Device product that together with the use of a soft dome SEAS tweeter reproduces full 1– 20 KHz bandwidth with more than 101 dB efficiency with a completely flat response without using a frontal phase plug.  The choice of a crossoverless woofer and a new frontal mechanical alignment reduces high frequency cone break-up and enables the woofer rolloff to perfectly match the slope of the high-pass filer the Seas soft-dome tweeter.  The woofer rolloff of -6dB at 10KHz provides a full audio band direct radiation with no "midrange horn compression nasality".  The components used are first class, as are the new generation Aliante AudioCap PPFF custom made capacitors.
